Today's nail art is inspired by Hawke, the player-character from Dragon Age 2 - or more specifically, it's inspired by his/her blood stripe. This one was super simple which was nice. Sorry for the crappy lighting. It's winter and Canada, so it gets dark fast these days.

Hello, and welcome to my humble blog!

My main reason for starting this up is that I've recently become re-obsessed with everything to do with nail polish, nail art and manicures. In the past couple months my collection of nail polish has gone from about 12 to 150 and is ever growing (I have no self control...), and I'm changing my mani at least 3 times a week. I love this hobby! Since I've started I've only wanted to get more involved with the community (nail bloggers, indie polish makers, etc.) - another reason I'm giving a blog a try.

I'm also a fan of art, comics, video games, and various other "nerdy" things. I've always been interested in arts and crafts - drawing, painting, even a brief foray in 3D modelling in college - but I had trouble staying with it regularly. I hoping this might be my happy medium since being creative and making art of some kind takes me to a happy place. Since I've started my brain has been filling up with "themed" ideas for my nails (example below, sorry for the crappy quality).

As you can see from the image above there's room for a lot of improvement still - photo quality, nail/cuticle maintenance, mani tidiness, etc. Hopefully if you've stumbled across this small corner of the internet, and you stop by again later you'll see some improvements and some cool ideas. I'll also be updating on my tumblr.
